This is the first article I’m writing in English, and I am trying to use plain language.
What is plain language
Plain language is a style of writing that presents the intended message in a simple and effective ways. It’s concise, easy to understand and free of jargon.
Why I use plain language
First, I want to improve my reading and writing skills in English.
Also, plain language helps me connect with readers. It helps me build a reputation for reliability and trustworthiness.
Plain language guidelines
Theses guidelines, which I’ve learned and practiced about plain language are:
- Use simple words and phrases
- Write short, concise sentences
- Separate short sections
- Use active voice instead of passive voice
